Wildlings Play Café: A Systems-First Launch for a High-Traffic Local Hub

A practical, user-focused digital build for a 2,400sqft indoor play space—prioritizing a client-led visual collaboration and a robust, multi-tier booking engine.

The Challenge

Wildlings Play Café is a massive addition to the Prince Edward County community, but moving from a "coming soon" concept to a high-volume physical location at Base31 required a serious technical foundation. The challenge was to meet a very specific, community-centric visual brief—prioritizing a clean, literal, and approachable aesthetic—while ensuring the backend could handle the daily complexities of a busy family destination.

The Solution

I worked closely with the client to ensure the site's identity remained accessible and aligned with their vision for a welcoming family space.

  • The Collaboration: I executed a client-led visual strategy, focusing on a clean and straightforward UI that puts the community’s needs first. This ensured the brand felt "at home" in the County and was instantly recognizable to local parents.

  • The Technical Engine: To support the 2,400sqft facility, I built a reliable, all-in-one booking system. This handles the heavy lifting of the business—managing 2-hour play passes, infant tiers, seasonal memberships, and exclusive birthday party rentals.

  • The Experience: I prioritized a "Mobile-First" flow to ensure that busy parents could check availability and secure a spot at the café in just a few taps.

The Result

The result is a hard-working business tool that has successfully launched Wildlings into the local market. By focusing on a collaborative design process and a technical backend that eliminates administrative "friction," the site functions as an extra staff member. It has provided the owners with total Digital Independence, allowing them to manage their space and their community while the site handles the 24/7 logistics of a high-traffic play café.
