The Challenge
Navigating Extreme -40° Environments
Shooting at massive industrial metal recycling plants presented severe physical and technical hurdles. With temperatures dropping to -40°, the extreme cold caused laptops to freeze, lighting equipment to fail, and multiple vehicles to get flat tires while navigating the active grounds surrounding the crushing and melting machinery.
The Solution
Adaptability on the Ground
Dealing with freezing equipment required constant problem-solving. We spent two to three days working through these sub-zero conditions across multiple Ontario facilities. The focus was on safely and accurately documenting every stage of their massive recycling operations, including scrap processing through shredders and balers, without disrupting the active work floor.
The Result
A Complete Industrial Visual Archive
Despite the brutal environmental and mechanical challenges, the shoot delivered a complete library of practical, raw imagery. These visuals now serve as the foundation for Triple M Metal's newly redesigned website, effectively showing the true scale of one of North America's largest privately held metal recyclers.
