Good Food, Good Mood: A Vibrant Digital Experience for an Award-Winning Cookbook

A vibrant, high-energy redesign for a Taste Canada Silver Medalist—using custom 3D animations, Generative AI, and product photography to drive global book sales.

The Challenge

Good Food, Good Mood is a celebrated cookbook, but its digital presence needed to catch up to its 2025 Taste Canada Silver Medal win. The challenge was to create a site that didn't just "show the book," but actually illustrated the science behind it—the connection between food and mental health. I needed to build a platform that felt as playful and energetic as the authors while providing a frictionless path for users to buy the book from major retailers.

The Solution

I executed a total visual overhaul on Wix Studio, moving away from a static layout to a high-motion, "pop-art" wellness experience.

  • The Visuals: I fused custom product photography with high-end Generative AI and 3D modeling to create a textural, modern brand world.

  • The Motion: Instead of a standard recipe list, I built clever, custom animations throughout the site that suit the book’s tone and explain complex concepts like the "brain-gut axis" in a way that feels simple and fun.

  • The Path to Purchase: I prioritized a "Mobile-First" conversion funnel, linking directly to global retailers like Amazon, Indigo, and Barnes & Noble.

The Result

The result is a digital platform that matches the prestige of an award-winning brand. By swapping out technical "clutter" for high-impact motion design and clean UI, the site now functions as a primary sales engine. It satisfies Search Intent for wellness seekers and provides the authors with Digital Independence, giving them a professional home that commands immediate authority in the culinary world.
